Geloky vs Geocodio vs BatchGeo: Which Fits Your Task?
Updated July 7, 2026 · Geloky team
These three tools show up in the same searches but solve three different jobs. The honest comparison is not "which is best" — it's "which is built for the task in front of you". (Yes, this is Geloky's own blog; we'll play it straight.)
Geloky — spreadsheets in, spreadsheets out, worldwide
- Job: you have a CSV/Excel of addresses (any country) and want it back with latitude/longitude — or the reverse, coordinates to addresses.
- Flow: upload → map columns → free preview on a map → convert → download. No code, no account needed to start.
- Pricing shape: 100 records/day free; pay-as-you-go $1 per 1,000 ($5 min); subscriptions for daily volume. Results are yours to store and reuse.
- Also: a batch distance calculator (driving and straight-line, spreadsheet in/out) and a REST API when you outgrow files.
- Weak spots: no US-census-style data appends; no map-embedding product — the output is data, not a hosted map.
Geocodio — API-first, US & Canada, data enrichment
- Job: geocoding North American addresses inside your application, often with appended fields (census tracts, districts, timezones).
- Strengths: clean APIs and docs, spreadsheet upload as a convenience, the enrichment library.
- Weak spots: coverage focus — global address lists aren't its game.
- Choose it when: your data is US/Canada and you want extra fields the address alone doesn't carry.
BatchGeo — maps as the product
- Job: paste a spreadsheet, get an interactive, shareable pin map.
- Strengths: speed to a presentable map; grouping/filtering pins; embedding.
- Weak spots: if what you need is the coordinate data itself (for a database, BI tool or another system), map-first tools make that the paid/exported path rather than the default.
- Choose it when: the deliverable is literally a map on a page.
Decision table
- "Add lat/long columns to my file (global addresses)" → Geloky.
- "Geocode US addresses inside my app + census data" → Geocodio.
- "Turn this sheet into a shareable map for the team" → BatchGeo.
- "File today, API next quarter" → Geloky (same account does both).
- "I also need distances between these points" → Geloky's distance module — neither of the other two does this as a batch job.
